User ID: 78101740 United States 09/08/2020 04:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is a fire on the Warm Springs reservation, southeast of Mt. Hood. I'm in west Vancouver (Washington, not Canada). Everything is covered in a coat of fine ash and the air tastes like liquid smoke. I've been smelling the smoke for 2 days but it was impressive how fast it rolled in. Over the coarse of an hour, it went from a lovely day, albeit lousy air quality, to high wind gusts and hazardous air quality. I sat on my porch for a long time just marveling at the apocalyptic scene. I'll probably regret it and hack for days. |

Had to grab my inhaler as soon as I stepped in the house and my lungs are sore today. Crazy ass ride up I5 last night, dodging shit flying and tree limbs in the highway. “When you’re dead you’re dead, but you’re not quite so dead if you contribute something” -John Dunsworth |

My lungs are also angry and I woke up and had sneezing fits all night. Today is much better thankfully. I hope the gunk clears out of your chest soon. |

User ID: 78411320 United States 09/08/2020 01:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Gust up to 60mph, dry as hell out. Quoting: Rorschach Watchmen I was at work and stepped outside and went from clear to hazy and Smokey within an hour. They are saying high probability for fires to spread, made me wonder if the protestors are lighting fires tonight in Portland? [link to weather.com (secure)] [link to katu.com (secure)] News just announced expected gusts of 60-80mph for cascade foothills, basically all the mountains surrounding the West side of I5 from Vancouver WA up to the peninsula. Brace for impact everyone, be safe. I stupidly rode my motorcycle to work today not checking the weather so wish me luck riding home tonight up I5 for 40 miles, should be interesting. I’m guessing BLM and Antifa will use high winds to take advantage of fire danger.
