Long term survival is something completely different and people will lean on each and cooperate. You may think collapse would be more Mad Max than Little House On The Prairie, but that's because you've watched too many terrible Hollywood movies. History doesn't bear this out. And btw, I've read the book Little House On The Prairie and it's a lot more brutal than you know. |

Think firearms.....machinist or blacksmith? A blacksmith can make firearms, I refer you to Foxfire 5, but a machinist can make firearms with interchangeable parts. You can do good quality work under fairly primitive conditions just take a look at the arms manufacturers in the Khyber Pass. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] "Yes, yes.
