We got More than three sandwiches Out of that 7 oz can. The corporations are ripping us off. Quoting: Off Switch My last experience with a tuna fish sandwich didn't turn out so good. My landlord gave me one and I got violently ill. I think she cleaned her fridge out. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79430148 United States 09/28/2020 05:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It’s was a 7 ounce can. I compared it to a new can of tuna. Cans of tuna now are only 4 ounces and cost the same or more. That is a 40% reduction in product. Quoting: Off Switch The 10 year-old can was undamaged and not bulging, so I made tuna salad out of it. It had a bit of a metallic taste, but other than that is was fine. Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburgers at Jack In the Box had a definite size decrease. 2. Large Fries were cut down to medium-size fries (you would have to buy two medium fries to equal the original size large fries you could get at Jack In the Box). 3. Even cheeseburgers and other menu items at Jack In the Box got smaller. 3. Large Fries at McDonalds actually shrunk in size. 4. Same thing with sausage mcmuffins at McDonalds. 5. I also noticed the double whoppers at Burger King got smaller as well. I tried one for the first time in a few years at least 1 year before the pandemic, and even they had gotten smaller. But things are most definitely not the same size they were just 2-3 years ago. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79428357 y'all should've drained the tuna juice and weighed it. that 4oz tuna can probably had less than 2oz of fish in it. the japanese not too long ago was above eating tuna, they treated it as low class food for the very poor. japs are low class anyway. we're all heading towards poor; some of us are there already. |

My body literally starts falling apart without it (skin, vision, joints, blood pressure) so I bit the bullet. Fuck it! I never liked fish much... fresh water perch fresh caught was ok.. white tuna only... I like lobster .. shrimp.. not scallops.. I lost for tuna after I quit meat for several reasons.. which was at least 20 years ago now. fake meat is getting decent tasting but I am so used to no making things with meat anymore... that I don't use much of that. I use fish oil caps for the good fats in meat for a long time not... including regular and high DHA ones... |

Quoting: ALL IS ONE IS ALL you don't need preservatives in STERILIZED food. what are you talking about? Contains nitrites like most canned meats damaging for liver. I have a food bank and right now the building it was in is shut to fake covid. So I have much of it stored in my house including various canned meats plus tuna. the only canned meat with nitrites is spam and canned ham. the beef, chicken and chili with beef do not. Great, thanks sweetheart, now I'm conflicted...do I have a tuna or a chicken sandwich for lunch? which ever sounds the best to you..... |

I would have tossed it out of paranoia, but I will say that tuna doesn’t seem to taste nearly as delicious as it did when I was a kid! I know you can still get it packed in oil (which I think tastes the best), but it still isn’t the same! I like it enough to eat it anyway, but I miss the tuna of “the old days”! |
