I had one lady tell me I was too close and to back up as we were exiting the store and I was several feet back.

GET A CLUE, HONEY: "Peer review" studies are among the most skewed because -by design- they are intended to support [and rarely refute] a concensus of opinion. It doesn't mean they are right in their analysis and it certainly doesn't automatically equate into Gospel freshly-descended from Mt. Sinai, it only means they all agree on a single concept. The ONLY thing peer-reviews actually support is a specific, predetermined agenda.

And every single time, whether it's the medical profession or the legal one, when challenged those "peers" will ALWAYS circle the wagons to protect their own interests and opinions. And any detractors will be hammered into compliance just as you have been with your pretty -and oh so tasteful- little face coverings.

The surgical mask is more about catching your spit etc the idea is to somewhat prevent exposure of others to your body fluids, but I don't believe they fair well tbh

I mean its not airborne so the largest form of transmission is when you cough on to a surface of in someone's general direction within 6-8ms at which point you'd be symptomatic so would be expected to isolate, the idea is to prevent you spreading viral loads (lol loads) before you become symptomatic or present as asymptomatic
