OSIRIS-REx Boops Bennu (AI Frame Interpolation)!

I performed an 8x interpolation of the frames released today showing OSIRIS-REx touching and blasting the surface of asteroid Bennu. There's a slight chance some of the debris from this event will reach Earth at its intersection point with the asteroid's orbit in September. The sample collected by OSIRIS-REx is expected to return to Earth in three years.

According to who? You? That's worthless. NASA is far more reliable than a random AC from GLP, sorry. I personally verified that they did indeed send this probe to asteroid Bennu. Given that fact, there's no reason for me to believe you.

Just watched it on PBS.
That's a great team of people.
Were they able to turn the collector part to see if they got samples?
How long until they get back?
Did the Japanese team come up with anything?

I don't think they have done the inertia measurement yet. It will be three years before the sample is returned to Earth. I plan to try to track it as it comes back.

It looks like it did some pretty good damage to the area from what you can see. How big is OSIRIS-REx?

Low gravity effect, or so Newton says.

Much of an asteroids composition can be loose soil gently held together in space.

One of the reasons space is cool, man.

That's just an artifact of the interpolation. It doesn't know what to do with all the high speed particles close to the vehicle because they only appear in single frames.

Not really, but I do know the SOFIA team is desperate to make waves and justify their existence (if I had to make a guess, I'd guess that it has to do with water on the moon). There was a report recently that suggested the SOFIA program wasn't productive enough to justify the cost.
