Quoting: Keilani I peaked inside and just saw empty pallets, looks like it has the capabilities to lock, so I'm thinking Walmart is going to start stocking stuff in case of shortages, just my thoughts. Then last night I dream that stuff starts disappearing off the shelves in the stores again, so eh, I shrug it off, but then today, I go to get these sandwich bags at Publix that are 2 for 3, always there, and all gone, and only one box left of the snack size, so yeah, I think it's coming again. I think the shortage this time will be due to truckers refusing to go through rioting cities. They've already stated they wouldn't. I'm not a hoarder, so I'm just picking up maybe one extra of things when I go shopping now just in case. Why do you think they didn't want to give a stimulus cause of the mass buying of weapons and food. |

I don’t think a fenced area is necessarily for Christmas items, especially if it’s opaque fencing. In my area (NJ/NY Metro) WalMarts have always kept their Christmas stock in shipping containers near the garden center. It’s possible that the fenced area’s being used to store rental pallets, as they have a deposit on them and WalMart will lose money if people cart them off. Were the pallets painted blue, by any chance? If so, they’re likely owned by Chep, who rents pallets to many end users. Each one costs from $25 to $40 to replace, if stolen. |

Also, in regards to shortages, I was at the local supermarket today and overheard a couple of the grocery managers discussing the fact that they weren’t getting everything they ordered *again*, and mentioned that they were getting shorted entire pallets of stock. People are likely stocking up in anticipation of both unrest after the election and the media drumbeat of a “second wave” of Covid. |

They could starve the cities. But..in the past decade, the government think tanks thought of this. I live by a couple of major trucking lines and they are importing foreigners by the planeload and have been for at least 5 years. Non stop. So much so that they have entire neighborhoods where they put them up. When they get here they cant even drive so they are being bussed to the training center to become the new truckers. They thought of everything. |
