This was the very first thing to enter my mind was that those vaccinated will become savagely contagious.

So you might be contagious after getting the vaccine. You might be sterilized by it. You will still have to quarantine after getting the vaccine if you come in contact with a covid-positive person afterwards. We will still have to social distance and wear masks.

It doesn't appear that they are sure that the vaccine does anything good, and it doesn't seem to actually make anything better in concrete terms, they're saying we still have to continue with lockdowns for years.

The vaccine is a new type that modifies DNA and this type of vaccine hasn't been used on humans before. They rushed it's development and approval, so they don't know what long term side effects it might cause.
