I even used my reduced sodium soy. I can eat it, but I'll be drinking like crazy later. Quoting: Paranoiaaaaa I'll have to see if I can come up with a sauce that isn't as salty. https://imgur.com/a/a2y5oap Awe, sorry it was too salty. Maybe for the batch you have, just add more rice to any leftover serving to cut it a little. It looks good! :) ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

That is my arm now; broken for 7 months User ID: 75281984 United States 06/26/2022 11:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great meals all! And thank you all for being tolerant of me as I meet my challenges here. You all are my anchor and sanity-maintainer. [Wow talk about added responsibility!] I feel embarrassed after last nights unable to air fry admission. I am a great cook, perhaps even a damned good one. I can use the air fryer to toast English muffins, the only thing I don't destroy with it. I don't normally eat junk trash food. A bag of chips may have six or seven eaten upon opening, then it sits for six months until I throw it away. 'Pretty much the same for any snack item I may buy. What has been the greatest difficulty since my heart surgery is learning any medication I take has needed its dosage drastically reduced or be eliminated altogether. I used to take blood pressure medication, 80mg of Telmisartan. After the surgery I reduced it to 40mg but was becoming disoriented with it going low, then to 20mg, then 10mg, now I have stopped taking it and my BP's average is 112 / 77, so no more blood pressure meds. I took 40 units of the 24-hour insulin every morning and between 60 and 90 units of the fast-acting insulin in the course of a day. Now I take 10 units of the 24-hour each morning and perhaps another fifteen of the fast during a day and some days I take no insulin at all and my blood glucose is normal. The problem with destroying a meal comes from my need to take some insulin if the meal contains any carbs and I must wait thirty to forty minutes before I may eat. If the meal is destroyed in the air-fryer as has happened four times the past week, I now must eat some trash like cookies or emergency jelly beans because if I take even another twenty minutes to cook something else I will go unconscious before the second meal attempt is ready to eat so I must eat garbage to keep from going unconscious and dying. It's quite frustrating. Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country, don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy. |

That is my arm now; broken for 7 months User ID: 75281984 United States 06/26/2022 11:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, we can't all be masters at everything. Quoting: Paranoiaaaaa We have a toaster oven, but rarely use it. Sometimes, we just forget it's there. But I also noticed it just isn't the same as the big oven. I prefer my cheese on a pizza to be melted, not browned if that makes sense. My toaster oven browns even though it isn't melted enough to spread out. So here's dinner. it's good, but the sauce is a little too salty for me. I even used my reduced sodium soy. I can eat it, but I'll be drinking like crazy later. I'll have to see if I can come up with a sauce that isn't as salty. https://imgur.com/a/a2y5oap Para I agree with you 100% with the fact pizza cheese must be melted and if browned the pizza must be discarded. I reheat pizza in the large oven on foil with a loose foil covering or the cheese becomes browned and the pizza inedible. Breakfast if and when I get to it will be a croissant with ham, egg, and cheese. I know that a master of the air-fryer could have it ready in five minutes. For me it will be thirty minutes wrapped in foil in the large oven so it is edible once it is warmed--highly inefficient and a terrible waste of money to run the large oven, which I must do to even toast a single slice of bread. I understand the toaster-oven problem: they are all defective in that if you set it to bake, for some unfathomable reason the top element comes on and browns what is being heated or cooked. I've decided if I ever buy another toaster oven I will disassemble it and add a power switch for the top element. I see no other solution than disconnecting the wiring to the top element with a switch to permit baking. Truly a very stupid design flaw in every one made today. (OP) Butters User ID: 80982588 United States 06/26/2022 03:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I like to use the toaster oven for a quick frozen pizza. I try to always keep Totinos in the freezer for Baby. They fit perfectly on the little tray & seem made for my toaster oven. If only it would cook them right. I didn't use my air fryer much when we first got it. I still don't use it a lot. Sometimes I just don't think about it. I will be trying to use it more now that it's hot. I try to only use the oven on low. I bake meat all night at 200. That way it's tender and doesn't heat up the house. I swear they must have put it too small of an air unit when they remodeled. Some days it runs all the time & I keep it set at 76. We run fans in the bedroom constantly. Besides, all my spices get hard now. They didn't used to. Girlfriend is making a turkey today. We'll see if she can cook a turkey. I'm sure it will at least be edible, well I hope. Are they a lot cheaper than the others? Or maybe they didn't get their whole shipment? I'll have to look at ours tomorrow. We usually do to a certain station that pumps easier. Our truck needs a new gas tank I think. If you pump too fast, it's spits the gas back out. We had a guy who was going to remove whatever inside was causing it, but then he got COVID and hasn't been well since. The dough is covered in a layer of taco-seasoned meat (usually beef) and topped with a creamy mixture of crème fraîche, egg, grated cheese, and mayonnaise. The resulting Tacopaj is baked in a 345˚F (175˚C) oven until golden and bubbly. After resting for a bit to settle and cool, the pie is often served with salsa and tortilla chips. As note, I ended up using the broiler for about a minute after baking to help get an extra golden top. [link to tarasmulticulturaltable.com (secure)] Use commercial mayonnaise for the creamy layer. Homemade versions don’t have the stabilizers necessary to keep everything together during baking. I personally use Cheddar or Monterey Jack for the grated cheese, but a Tex-Mex blend or Colby-Jack would also work well. I seasoned the beef with this this recipe from The Girl Who Ate Everything for homemade taco seasoning. (my son gave me this excellent book to read a few years ago) |
