That law is a joke. After 45 days, congress can do anything it wants with those funds. Read the law.

Trump didn't get anything in return for signing the bill. Mitch McConnell didn't even agree to put up the $2000 stimulus house bill for vote.

Is it? Check the tax laws. If those stimulus checks don't go out by January 15th, they don't get sent out at all. You have to wait until tax time, then file taxes, and get it as a refund.

They are forced to act right now, or parts of the bill fall apart instantly, meaning the bill is incomplete and falls apart instantly. They have to get it done and start sending out those checks this week, or nothing happens at all.

You actually have it wrong. Of course that won’t matter, cause 5D chess, right ? Section 230 has not been revised and is not likely to be even discussed during the current lame duck administration.

I do give President Trump props for at least attempting to get it done. As for the other misinformation you posted, the current President authorized with the signing of what is a ridiculous bill, $600 dollar checks and not $2000 as you seem to believe, and call “winning”.

I like President Trump but the bigger checks were not even his initial idea, he did ask for the same amount distributed earlier but only proposed the $2000 after Democrats attempted to stuff it into earlier versions of the bill the President signed, with the majority of Republicans opposed to any checks going out.

Any new bill, and it absolutely needs to be a new bill now that the President signed off on the bloated one Congress submitted, will not include legislation on Section 230 as they will debate it circus style for at least months to come. As for $2000, there have already been votes that didn’t even pass the House, and the Senate has repeatedly stated they will not even bring for a vote this issue, at least in its current Republican control.
