I asked a real doctor on discord what a lifetime on lithium would do to a person
he said "yea i get that a lot." lol. he said it should theoretically dull the receptors down enough so there shouldn't ever really be another episode and after that, after the neuron receptors get coated almost permanently, problem solved in laymen's terms.

so there you have it. a layment's terms for lithium lol.

Good actually. it means the end result, they should eventually not need the lithium, but big pharma would never admit to that!

i imagine, (with no medical background!) it becomes like a placebo effect after a while and just helps big pharma in the end.

and lets be honest with ourselves. would someone on lithium ever truly want to be "cured" from it after having made lifestyle choices based off it? i don't really think so. so it becomes a catch-22.

Ask your "real doctor" how often the blood needs to be tested and then ask them about toxicity levels.

You were talking to a "real doctor" who graduated, with honors, from "Draw the Turtle" University.

Depends if you're talking about lithium carbonate, or lithium orotate. I've taken neither, but have heard the former is dangerous. The latter alright.

 Quoting: Daozen

The former used to be the treatment of choice for people who were, back in the day, called manic-depressive and today are referred to as bipolar.

It certainly dulled their manic phase but if blood levels were not carefully monitored death resulted, it was that toxic.

OP has demonstrated a heightened level of idiocy over the years and may well think "lithium" is shoving a lithium battery up his ass for a cheap thrill.

Like you said Larry, lithium has gotten a bad rep cos of carbonate. It's a shame orotate is lumped in the same category. Orotate is a very different compound, and the dosage is much, much, lower.
