They want you do sell your bitcoin so they can buy it. biden has already frozen former Treasury Secretary Mnuchin's proposal on unhosted wallets, which caused the previous shakeout. Every time they make these "scary" public statements people panic sell. And then...nothing happens, AS USUAL.

The U.S. Dollar is barely holding onto it's value, and it's something you can hold in your hand.

I got my money out of the stock market before it started going down last February, and I'm putting my money into real tangible things.

You have no idea what you're talking about. I change my crypto to US Dollars on Coinbase every single day.

Anyone can buy & sell using BITCOIN. There is no reason to transfer your coin into dollars. In the coming years, the dollar will be worthless anyway. The global currency will be crypto sooner than you think. People don't use BITCOIN as currency right now, because it's being used as digital gold. Folks are holding.

Crypo currency has an overall Market Cap of over 1 Trillion Dollars (it was around 330 Billion back in 2017
I believe). BITCOIN is being bought up by many investment firms. BITCOIN is being bought up by PayPal among others. BITCOIN is very much International! Good Luck with outlawing BITCOIN. Time is a changing....
