Walk into a coin store and sell it.. They give you cash on the spot. And there is no paper trail.

or you can sell it locally on craiglists or offerup..

Try doing that with stocks..

The point of silver is to replace cash, not trade it for cash.

During that time, you cant convert your silver into tangible assets. Like land or a house, or car.


By then, people will gladly take silver or gold as a form of payment.

The coin shops work if you don't mind a 10% ding on either end, but craigslist, gun shows, flea markets, anything face to face is easy enough. Strangely, I've found people more comfortable doing a $10k silver transaction than $150 gold, something about silver doesn't make people nervous the way gold does.

I live in a fairly small city and even my dealer could do that, he's a broker for a bigger conglomerate that's never not had demand.
