I have a different strategy

Reloading supplies

Currently, I have enough reloading supplies for an additional 100k rnds with 25k rounds already spec'ed and ready to go. Most are 5.56 and .308. For a box of 20 I will trade for 1 OZ of silver.

If SHTF you cant protect your food with Silver and you cannot eat Silver so the greatest commodity besides food will be the ability to protect it. Currently, my reload average cost is .35 since I got all of the brass for the cost of going to the range and collecting it. I don't count that cost because I needed the skills anyways. Just park next to a high end caliber and scoop them, and trade for 308 and 5.56, which is easy and you get more per pound.338 Lapua and any 300+ Magnum+ casing

Primers and Powder are nonexistent now and good luck finding projectiles that are affordable.

So my best estimate is that I spent 1/2 the amount of current silver prices and it gets better as things fall into the abyss.

Destroy people's savings???? What the hell does .05% paid on a savings account do? The interest rate should be 5% at the least. The fed has stood on the neck of interest rates for the last umpteen years just to force people into the market to chase yield and look what that is about to get them.
