Coaches are hired and teach nothing, many times. The coaches I know sit on their asses all day every day and leave early. More money is wasted on sports than is spent on academia or Science labs. It’s a slush fund where grown men who failed to grow up - continue to be heroes in their own minds ... at all of our expense, especially the students’. |

People with money want to support it so they do. Whereas government mostly does poorly with money given to it on most things and thus people don't want to throw money at it. Mostly when you give money to the government whether taxes or voluntarily etc, a politician and their donors will pass it back and forth between eachother. But yeah I think Texas might be screwed for the long term now. There is a purposeful demographic invasion in progress to flip the state blue. Banks control jobs and are bringing people in from California and from abroad. They already did it with Virginia and Georgia. Currently they're solidifying Georgia and working to flip Tennessee, Texas, and Florida in particular. So Texas will probably be Democrat by 2024 unless Texas adopts a 'whatever it takes' mindset to maintain control of the state. Basically the only chance the Republican party has is to continue to make inroads with Hispanics, Asians, and Indians in particular. Immigrants rich or poor do tend to be socially conservative. I'd add African Americans to that list as well but it may be a lost cause despite Trump's small but significant improvement there. Obviously what helps most of all is that Democrats are corrupt and incompetent and run things like shit wherever they are in charge. But if you let them take over they will then cheat to stay in power and never give it up. |
