Quoting: CharlieFoxtrot Dude is wicked smart, and he makes very good arguments. He could be wrong, or he could be right. I guess we'll find out eventually. Funny thing about these bitcoin headlines, prices move so fast that they're practically obsolete by the time they trickle down to us. Can someone explain why this bitcoin has any value? I'm not trying to be an ass, but I just don't get it? It's based on what? Bitcoin is the anti-thesis to phyiscal gold and silver. Physical gold and silver is truly stored energy. If it's out of the ground and probably refined for whichever use THAT'S-IT! It's the perfect measurement-tool. Bitcoin on the other hand uses-up energy without producing ANY PHYSICAL EQUIVALENT and the bigger the Crypto-Network is becoming, the more energy is being used up etc. Bitcoin is a fractal sucker of epic proportions. FIAT has many similarities - CRYPTO IS THE PERFECTION OF THE FIAT SCAM. What is the U.S. dollar? Backed by debts, print more when you need it, tax people more to pay for realeasing more fiat borrowed on interest from China and the central banks. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43470531 When Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan (who literally ARE the Federal Reserve) is getting involved, you know a major paradigm shift is about to happen. My guess is bitcoin is an intermediary step between cash and the total digital economy. There will be a new crypto, created and managed by the Fed Res/World Bank/IMF etc, that all the big players will jump ship to and bitcoin will crash, leaving those out of the loop of the "when" this transition comes penniless. This is a good chance to make a quick buck while protecting your purchasing power if you stay on the ball and see where the wind is blowing. Because any way you cut it, the US dollar is done. Unsustainable. Inflation is already through the roof and only going to get worse. Money in a savings account is pointless. Fact is, all the precious metals are gone. There will never be a "gold backed dollar" as it would inhibit the big players from continuing their scam. Gold and silver will rise in relation to the dollars drop, but there just isn't enough out there to cover the sheer amount of fiat dollars in circulation. If you want to take the chance, this is the last opportunity to get into the crypto game before the prices become prohibitive. But be on the ball and know that a time will come where the transfer of wealth from bitcoin into "X digital currency" is coming. Knowing when to jump ship with the big players is key. ECB President Christine Lagarde Says 'It's out of the Question' That Central Banks Would Hold Bitcoin While the secretly hoard it. Nope. Everyone told you from day one XRP is the banker's coin. Yet, bitcoin maximalists want to ignore the international monetary fund's settlement choice. |

Gold and silver are the canaries in the coalmine, but they have been captured and hidden and their warnings cannot be seen. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2492899 Bitcoin is not under their control. So as more wealth flees the dollar and into Bitcoin, it becomes the new canary to warn about the dollar. Gold and silver should be taking off. They are, but it's hidden. Have you seen premiums? It's $13 premium on top of spot for silver eagles. Physical price is decoupling from the paper market. But the biggest warning is coming from Bitcoin. What do you think will be Bitcoins worth after the reset ? If the dollar still exists 1'000'000 dollars per bitcoin ? What will be the cost of a physical car by then (remember, producing a physical car needs energy - as does the production of non-physical-bits and bytes which doesn't has a physical equivalent, just 'nothing'). I tell you. After the reset, even if you are in possession of all bitcoins in existence, you will not be able to buy a car with it, not even the cheapest. |

Again, bitcoin has NO PHYSICAL EQUIVALENT AT ALL. Bitcoin is like you going back to the sea shells barter time and telling the seashell seller that you take 5 seashells for NOTHING. If the seashell seller might have a strange kind of humor, he'd probably give you those 5 seashells cause he recognizes that you've used a lot of thinking-energy to come up with that scam. |

Please share your definition and let's analyze. Bitcoin gains are already taxed. In the US it's treated as a commodity. Tell us what happens to the price when people quit buyin in ok??? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76815515 United States 02/18/2021 10:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Alright guys, I'm looking at taking the plunge into bitcoin or some other coin. I have a few questions, 1. What are some of the coin purchasing platforms you would recommend 2. What does the short term future for bitcoin look like (should I jump in now or wait a sec for a dip to occur)? 3.What other coins should I be considering? LTC,ETH,XRP,ect... Is it still viable to mine for some type of coin? Back in the early days of coin I'd mine bitcoin with an old I7 and make a decent profit but I doubt it's the same anymore. Thanks |
