You insert the row of staples, pointy end down, push the spring back in and make sure it latches. Before you reload it make sure there in not a bent staple stuck on the firing end that would keep it from working. If it is old or not used in a long time it can get stuck, I just pull out the staples give the tip a little oil, even vegetable oil will work, you can use WD, a drop of motor or sewing machine oil. Pull the trigger a few times until it gets unstuck. |

I am sure new ones are much better. just do make sure you don't point the staple gun at anything that should not have a staple in it. |
