Biden White House Sandbags Staffers, Sidelines Dozens for Pot Use

I am having a little bit of a hard time digesting this.

On one side, I get it. This is the highest office in the land. The most
complex problems, challenges, and needs are dealt with by the Executive
Office of the President. Regardless of one's political leaning, the
challenges dealt with in managing a nation of 350 people are difficult.

Any clear thinking, tax paying citizen would want the smartest, most capable
people grappling with the diverse set of problems that impact such a large,
cross section of the population.

And there is no denying that weed DOES have an impact.

From another side, I know several EXTREMELY creative and supremely intelligent
people who are monster stoners. I mean... Damn.

This is a tough call...

But in the end, given the range of possibilities and my love for the country, I would
opt for as clean employee roster to the greatest extent possible.

Just my thoughts...

But if you are a raging alcoholic there is no issues or presribed benzos or opiates dialy... All those things would effect ones ability to preform their job far more than smoking a bit of weed. I bet there is a decent amount of people prescribed pharmas like the ones mentioned above.

Agree 100%. Used to smoke lots of pot in my art school days. Totally fucked up my memory and one thing that really pisses me off about my younger self's use is that it absolutely does delay goal progression. I find myself now more than ever, trying to salvage some old projects that I started as a pot head.

So yes, it does cause problems, even if people say it doesn't. I used to love weed more than pussy. Trust me, it does have an effect.

They did it in the past, they said they did it, that because they had were told it would not count against them, so someone lied to them. Lots of people have tried marijuana, I never have. I do say it does not mean they are stoners for doing one or even more times. I know plenty of people who smoked marijuana, they did not do it later in life. There are much worse things people have done in congress and in the executive besides marijuana use, much worse.


Lord, I am sticking up for probably democrat or progressives, well, the truth is the truth, there is much worse than marijuana use at times, think causing wars where people die.

That's the problem. 'federal gov' thinks it's bigger than all of the states.

Its not a case of pot is bad or that weed shouldnt be legalized.

Its a case of breaking the law and wanting to be in government.

Its still not federally legal therefore if you admit to it then you have no respect for the process of law. How can you work in government?
