Thoughts create, mind them well. |

He keeps moving so much, I kept his box on the ground in case he escaped I didn't want him to fall far and I put a pillow under it so it would be soft too. But he stayed inside, he just rolls around a lot. https://imgur.com/a/DmnlMwX grass fed sardines |

Thanks again BBQ Boy! This is so good to know, it's scary not being prepared but this time of year we find little babies out of the nest all the time. Just need some eggs, heating pad and a wildlife center close by. Everyone should find where their center is and be prepared! grass fed sardines |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79650013 United Kingdom 04/20/2021 09:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The likelihood a thing that young surviving is low, without specialist knowledge of the diet (and of course the species). I would guess a mixture of caterpillars, worms and grubs. Meal worms need their head squishing before feeding. But these things need variation in their diet. Do not constantly feed it the same thing over and over. I watched a nature program that was studying a nesting bird. They had nest cameras set up everywhere. One of the parent bird died, the crew knew the young were unlikely to survive with only one provider. To prevent a wasted show, they provided easy access to various food (worms etc.) They were surprised how little the single parent bird took advantage of the easy access meals. They concluded that the bird better understood natural dietary needs of it's young and the small amount of free stuff was used to sustain itself. Young birds diets alter as their body develops into a fledglings - be warned. |

Feed it with a flat narrow thin spoon like object . I always carve my own . Keep it warm . over feeding is no good either . They are so vulnerable at that age . Pablum mashed boiled egg yoke is good . Keep it clean . |

INSUFFICIENT FLUIDS/WATUH...IT COULD HAVE SURVIVED BUT HAD AN UNDERDEVELOPED BRAIN..LIKE BIDEN...AND NEVER COULD HAVE SURVIVED IF EVUH RELEASED INTO THE REAL WORLD OF NATURE. I could have kept him, he's a sparrow, invasive species. But I don't think the center will euthanize him, they only do that to a mute swan. I read but I'm going to call to make sure. Anonymous Coward User ID: 79368329 United States 04/20/2021 11:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | With the loss of species to habitat destruction the available forage for the remaining stocks such as raptors falcons owls etc was so drastically reduced they to were in grave danger of extinction . The English sparrow filled that void very well and now supplies much of the forage the remaining avian species need to simply exist . A trade off of sorts . They serve a vital purpose here now and if they were lost we would see a rapid collapse of what is left . Starlings to at a lessor extent . |

Keep it warm, and feed it every time you walk by.Feed it every time it begs for food. We raised robins and starlings the same way. |
