I know a guy who worked in a Los Angeles-area location for a large, nation-wide company, who was offered a position in NYC. He accepted, moved across the country, was there two weeks, and then left to go back to his company position in L.A. Said he hated everything about NYC, especially peoples' attitudes. He got the hell out as quickly as he could.
