There is so much else one can do with $600,000. I know I wouldn't spend it on Virgin Galactic. I would buy a Mig 29 Edge of Space flight in Russia for 1/20th of the Virgin asked price.

No matter how much evidence you show a "flat earther" he / she will choose to believe its flat regardless. The sun sets, it doesn't circle the earth, for if it did it would "shrink" not set! Here are some other proofs.

1. Lunar Phases of the moon:

Clearly show a curved shadow not a flat line. And no its not a disk either because well: math and physics, learn them before debating this topic.

2. Varying star constellations:

(the same constellations do not appear around the world. I've traveled to enough countries to confirm this! On a flat earth the constellations would always remain the same regardless of which country your in.

3. Shadows and sticks

If you stick a stick in the (sticky) ground, it will produce a shadow. The shadow moves as time passes (which is the principle for ancient Shadow Clocks). If the world had been flat, then two sticks in different locations would produce the same shadow. This has been proven numerous time.

4. The higher up you climb, the farther you will see:

Usually, we tend to relate this to Earthly obstacles—like the fact we have houses or other trees obstructing our vision on the ground, and climbing upwards we have a clear view—but that’s not the true reason. Even if you stood on a completely clear plateau with no obstacles between you and the horizon, you would see much farther from the greater height than you would on the ground.

This phenomenon is caused by the curvature of the Earth as well, and COULD NOT happen if the Earth was flat!

5. Airplanes

If you’ve ever taken a trip out of the country (which I'm assuming many flat earth believers haven't) specifically long-distance trips, you could notice two interesting facts about planes and the Earth:

Planes can travel in a relatively straight line for a very long time and not fall off any edges. They can also circle the Earth without stopping. If you look out the window on a trans-Atlantic flight, you can, most of the times, see the curvature of the Earth on the horizon. The best view of the curvature used to be on the Concorde, but that plane’s long gone. This is proven by the video which op posted. (if it was a fish eye lense, the spaceship would be "bowed" which it clearly isn't.

6. Other planets are round and no they are not "cymatics" or "holograms."

7. The existence of time zones:

The time in New York, at the moment these words are written, is 12:00pm. The sun is in the middle of the sky (though it’s hard to see with the current cloud coverage). In Beijing, it’s 12:00am, midnight, and the sun is nowhere to be found. In Adelaide, Australia, it is 1:30am. More than 13 hours ahead. There, the sunset is long gone—so much so, that the sun will soon rise up again at the beginning of a new day.

8. The pull of gravity:

Here’s an interesting fact about mass: It attracts things to it. The force of attraction (gravity) between two objects depends on their mass and the distance between them. Simply said, gravity will pull toward the center of mass of the objects. To find the center of mass, you have to examine the object. An apple falls straight down not sideways regardless of where you are in the world.

9. Countless images from space:

In the past 60 years of space exploration, we’ve launched satellites, probes, and people into space. Some of them got back, some of them still float through the solar system (and almost beyond it), and many transmit amazing images to our receivers on Earth. In all of these photos, the Earth is (wait for it) spherical. The curvature of the Earth is also visible in the many, many, many, many photos snapped by astronauts aboard the International Space Station.

10. It has even been debunked by flat earther's themselves

11. NOT ONE REAL IMAGE exists of a flat earth. They are all cartoons, drawings and ancient maps (when science hadn't advanced to the level its today)

Its funny they believe in God and the Bible, yet don't believe that an almighty super intelligent creator cannot create such a complex system. I guess the people saying a fish eye lens can't do straight lines really are just that stupid. Look at the beginning of the video where the rocket is launching. Horizon starts flat. If empiricism is your enemy you're going to fall behind the curve.

That's not all though. If the WIDE ANGLE lens (not fish eye, the distortion is a factor of compressing the data into a viewable square) couldn't do straight lines then why is stuff close to the lens straight? You people will do anything and make any critique in order to dismiss anything that challenges your paradigm.

Educate yourself in the art of mapmaking. Mapping a land was nearly impossible. The globe even moreso. Much more, all those maps are recorded on perishable material. Take a look at some of the old maps. Not very useful but better than nothing. Mapping was a dangerous job.
