That wasn't a meteor. why don't we see it coming in above the clouds??

So the video and the stills are from two different angles. In the stills it appears to be coming straight down while in the video it has an angle to it.

I'm not against the idea of an energy pulse of some kind but no way it's lightening... Nothing about it resembles any known form of lightening including tje incredibly rare ball lightening.
