Kentucky's vaccine lottery offers $1 million, full-ride scholarships:

On Friday, Gov. Andy Beshear announced new incentives to encourage people around the state to the the COVID-19 vaccine.

It's called "Shot at a Million."

Three adults will get the chance to win $1 million. Fifteen kids ages 12-17 will win full rides to a public Kentucky college, university, technical or trade school.

This giveaway applies to anyone who has received at least one shot.

Gearing up for the first vaccine lottery: How Washington will pick winners

Do you want to be a millionaire? Washington is set to draw the first winner of the state’s “Shot of a Lifetime” COVID-19 vaccine lottery Tuesday.

There will be four weekly drawings for $250,000, and one lucky Washingtonian will win a $1 million grand prize.

Residents are automatically entered into the drawing if they have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination and are in the state Department of Health (DOH) vaccine database.

According to the Washington State Lottery, you must be in the Washington State Immunization Information System by 11:59 p.m. the Sunday before the drawing date to be included in that week’s lottery.

Weld County health care worker is Colorado’s first $1 million vaccine lottery winner:

Sally Sliger, of Mead, said she got vaccinated in April so her family could get back to gathering for birthdays and other celebrations. Winning the lottery was a “surreal” bonus, and she and her husband will use the money to pay off their sons’ student loans and take care of some home projects, she said.

“A stable future is worth all the money in the world, but it doesn’t hurt to take your chance at a lottery,” she said at a news conference with Gov. Jared Polis on Friday afternoon.

The state will draw four additional winners over the next four weeks. A separate drawing, for kids ages 12 to 17 who’ve been vaccinated, will chose 25 winners who each will receive a $50,000 college scholarship. People who want to be eligible for next week’s drawings need to get their first shot by Sunday.

'We're excluded': Spokane veterans not eligible for Gov. Inslee's vaccine incentive lottery

The state has been "working for some time" with federal partners to obtain their data, according to a spokesperson for Governor Inslee's office.

It is unclear if those who got vaccinated with the VA are in the drawing. After years in the service, one veteran says he feels left behind. Navy veteran Mike Driscoll got his COVID-19 vaccine through the VA pharmacy partnership, getting his first Moderna shot in Jan. and then second in Feb. According to the website, he is not eligible for the drawing.

"It definitely isn't fair," Driscoll said. "The men and women who have served and all this good stuff that they're saying, 'we appreciate your service,' but we're not in the lottery. Somebody is not completing the circle here."

The “winners” are likely to be family members of whoever is running the lottery....and there probably are no real money winners, just the lucky ones that have no idea what’s coming from this experiment....the “vaxxed” are just research monkeys !
