The Soviet Union also brought in some Nazi scientists, one thing they didn't do was to keep them. They took what they had to offer and sent them on their way. US took the information and kept most of them. Still, it works out both countries brought in Nazis after the war. Stalin was paranoid about the Nazis by this time, the US was already being cozy with Nazis, not the majority of people and not even the majority of elected representatives were this being the house and senate, and others in different areas, this was more of a hidden group with in the military and some other agencies. I am not talking about all the military, no, just a few higher up ones.

And as far as lend lease being the savior of the Soviets, America more or less starved them of most meaningful equipment until other than jeepy supply type stuff until it was clear that the Soviets were going to steamroll and then they opened the floodgates. The American goal was to let the Nazis and Germans slaughter each other as much as possible and America was quite successful in that debauchery.

Americans also don't realize that Russians slaughtered the Japanese in China (Manchuria) and then seized Japanese Sakhalin and Kuril islands that Japan still gripes about to this day.
