Step one is to make internal combustion engines extinct

Step two is to reduce our electrical power generation capacity to all solar and wind

Step 3 is to ban elecfric vehicles as a form of rationing

Rural people will sell tbeir farms to chinese buyers as them mo e into tbe big cities

Imagine there's a sudden black out, nobody could to fill up the tank at the gas stations.

Think about that.

It can't be ignored that once they force everyone into an electric car, if they don't want anyone to leave an area easily they'll just turn the power off.

I like the concept of Teslas but I don't like the fact they're permanently internet connected 24/7 and can be remotely controlled or disabled by Tesla(and the Government).

Same reason I've never owned an OnStar vehicle.

Telsa owner here (well the wife is), the origin of the electricity is understood. We also own two gas powered vehicles (Land Rover, BMW X5); the Tesla is cheaper to use for short range trips. Just saying you can't generalize.

Many vehicles are subject to remote intrusions. I love Subarus but the fact is that an Outback was one of the first vehicles to be broken into remotely. It turns out that the tire pressure monitor (TPM) is a wireless device that talks to the rest of the computers in the car. By pretending to be a TPM, an intruder could then send any command to the car.

Someone that wanted to could stop the engine or make it suddenly accelerate.

So that is one reason why I keep repairing my 1996 Legacy. No known remote security flaws.

Libs will buy gasoline generators to charge their electric cars.

Onstar and the other subscription services are also preparing us for the move away from being the owners of a vehicle and towards vehicles being a service that we pay for each month. That's why we are seeing 'right to repair' laws and lawsuits because manufacturers are trying to make it impossible for you to work on the vehicle that you own. John Deere tractors are also moving this way.
