I went to a barber for a beard trim & haircut yesterday.....

Just make braids with your beard and head hair. That looks cool, that's what warriors used to wear:

I had hair past my waist in my youth, it was curly, women loved it. Then, woke up after my 3 day xtal meth experiment and shaved it bald...the fricking house was toothbrush spotless and I was bald. Good times in ones youth!

I am in my 70's, my long white beard reaches halfway to my belt. Some of you might wish to look into part-time income here if you have enough long-haired bearded guys in the area. But it's true, the incident a few days ago was [probably the most ridiculous example of sheep being sheep. "There's the cliff. Unless you proceed beyond the edge of the cliff, you won't get fed today". Baaaahhh.

I dont understand this at all.

I live in Commiefornia, and when you goto the Barber...they still have to wear masks, but the "cutee" i guess you call it doesnt have to.

If they wanted to...and Ive seen this...they do one side at a time where they take the ear loop off, and then do the same for the other.

AT NO TIME have I EVER seen what you described....

maybe that barbershop experience was "the cherry on top of the sundae" here. It gets windy here occasionally and then you'll see people walking or riding a bicycle in a 30 m.p.h. wind wearing their mask. The next nearest barber shop in this area is 7 miles away. Braiding the hair and beard sounds like a plan.

I have been cutting my own hair since covid started.

Had a pair of electric clippers I bought years ago. learned how to adjust them from a Youtube (they were not cutting very well). Now they work great. Even bought a pair of proper thinning shears and barber shears that were made in Japan. I have very thick hair, so it needs thinned out on the sides or it sticks out too much.

Now I give myself a haircut every week. Takes about 5 minutes. No more driving across town... waiting... trying to get them to use the thinning shears. Never going back.

No beard, I shave every day and I always look keen.

OK I can't let that one go. I've never been called a sexist before now. I know a younger girl in her late 20's here. She moved to another state but e-mailed me a few days ago that she's coming back to AZ. She had offered to do my beard and hair just before leaving, so that'll be it.
