WOW. That would possible indicate two things. The lack of money and or the lack of hope. Just remember, they are keeping the destruction of the middle class out of the news and Comm College is were most Middle Class kids start for the basic classes due to price and availability. I started there, my friends started there, my kids and their friends started there. Hell, even my wife started there.

Notice that they are not talking about the inflow of income taxes? Keeping that chit quite.

Friend of the family works for the city. She has stated, that right now due to the lack of income tax inflow pensions are now under water. You don't see that in the news. She said that they will be forced to announce information concerning this subject no later than next spring.

She also stated that this will be a major crisis all across America at local, state and federal levels.

My son showed up for trucker orientation with about 50-60 people. After the pee test half were gone, after the open book test half were gone. Twelve graduated.

That's almost amusing - half the group failed AN OPEN BOOK TEST!! Thank goodness they did - we don't need that group on the road!!

Community colleges are not just for degrees, and can help with certain trades, depending on the college.

Or maybe we'll go back to apprenticeships and learning on the job like we should do. College is BS, they make you take a bunch of extra classes you don't need in order to justify extracting your arm and leg in exchange for a piece of paper, for a chance to jump through hoops in a whole pool of similarly trained monkeys. Then, if you make it through, you get to spend a large chunk of the rest of your natural life repaying a loan that has interest that accrues DAILY (crazy, right?), and hoping against hope that you'll retire with enough to keep a roof over your head and food in your belly.

Now, everyone keep in mind that it's July. Most orientation is not until August. Perhaps this college booked a shit ton of orientation days? That's what mine does. If not enough folks sign up for one day it's cancelled, and they're encouraged to sign up for a different day.

Community colleges help get prerequisites out of the way for future classes at a University.

Nobody trusts plans for the future.
I have wanted to register for classes myself - but something tugs at my conscious. I feel we are not over anything yet, more that we are in an eye of the storm.

I am not surprised. Earlier this year, about a week after the last covid relief check was first distributed, Tri-County Adult Education offered a night class to teach adults to be electricians. I was the second person to try to sign up for the class, but was told that they had to cancel the class altogether because no one, except for me and one other person signed up. They too said they found this unusual. I wish I could take the lineman classes, but they're only available to the high school students.

Oh, and as far as orientation to take college classes, just pay the school for the credit hours and attend the classes. You do not have to apply to the school hoping to be accepted, just give them some money, figure out where the classes meet, stop by the campus security to get your parking pass, and you're good to go.

They ONLY have online registration due to Covid.


Perhaps they cancelled orientation for the same reason.



Maybe he was the ONLY one to show up because there wasn't orientation.


There are 7,000 enrolled and 2,000 enrolled full time.

Orientation for CC is a massive waste of time anyway so no big loss there.
