He called my Mom three weeks ago and told her to get prepared.

We rarely speak to this side of the family. He's my dad's sister's husband. My parent's divorced in 1972, and my aunt and mom stayed in touch, but she passed away two years ago.

Sorry did not log in to the last post. Mom just told me that he said to make sure she had everything she needed for a "while". As far as I know, he did not give any particulars just told her to get plenty of food and other necessary supplies.

I got a warning about august 8th MONTHS AGO.

I've been seeing multiple signs that a date on or near then might be hot ever since then.

I definitely share the feeling that we're getting close to something we're not going to like a whole lot.

Definitely make sure that you have an emergency family/group contact plan in place including a meeting location and set time slots and a secondary backup location with secondary time slots a couple hours later if for some reason your primary location is compromised. Preferably with a way to discreetly signal if your primary location isn't safe that Can be seen from a distance.

Idk what the current stock on Amazon looks like now but if you can grab some baofeng walkie talkies as a last ditch in case cell and data are down.

There's good tutorials available on setup and configuration etc online which you should do ahead of time.

And NO an EMP won't kill your god damn walkie talkies! That's just not how emp works is the simple answer.

The longer answer is if you're somewhere getting lit up with a pulse hard enough to fry a baofeng turned off with the battery popped out you don't have to worry about your radio being dead because the fucking atmosphere will be ON FIRE.
