Psalm 37
Psalm 37
1
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
2
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
3
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
5
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
6
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
7
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
8
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.
9
For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the Lord,
They shall inherit the earth.
10
For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
11
But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12
The wicked plots against the just,
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
13
The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees that his day is coming.
14
The wicked have drawn the sword
And have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy,
To slay those who are of upright conduct.
15
Their sword shall enter their own heart,
And their bows shall be broken.
16
A little that a righteous man has
Is better than the riches of many wicked.
17
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the Lord upholds the righteous.
18
The Lord knows the days of the upright,
And their inheritance shall be forever.
19
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time,
And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20
But the wicked shall perish;
And the enemies of the Lord,
Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish.
Into smoke they shall vanish away.
21
The wicked borrows and does not repay,
But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
22
For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth,
But those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
24
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
25
I have been young, and now am old;
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread.
26
He is ever merciful, and lends;
And his descendants are blessed.
27
Depart from evil, and do good;
And dwell forevermore.
28
For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
29
The righteous shall inherit the land,
And dwell in it forever.
30
The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom,
And his tongue talks of justice.
31
The law of his God is in his heart;
None of his steps shall slide.
32
The wicked watches the righteous,
And seeks to slay him.
33
The Lord will not leave him in his hand,
Nor condemn him when he is judged.
34
Wait on the Lord,
And keep His way,
And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
35
I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.
36
Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.
37
Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
38
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39
But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
He is their strength in the time of trouble.
40
And the Lord shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
Because they trust in Him.

Nice psalms, but this was written a very long time ago and since then evil has not been cut off, many people have died decent and innocent people have been hurt & many vile deeds snd injustices been allowed to happen regardless of trust in him, and the righteous/meek have still not inherited the earth. Year after year he's not kept his promise. This has already been proven false. Do not be blind to the fact just because it's included in the Bible and automatically assume anything about it.

Im not going to say all the bible is useless or without importance but you have to understand that mortal men capable of error and corruption chose what to include in the bible and what not to include which is why we don't have books like the book of Thomas in the Bible.

I believe this is why a God would give us the ability to think for ourselves because we should be wise and realize that this has been proven untrue already, even if it were proven one day in the future that still means that only one year at thousands of years it was true, that would not change the fact that it was a failed promise since the beginning.

Psalms is false, or perhaps just a book for of Hope, that's it.

You have my utmost sympathy.

You are spinning towards a tragedy of eternal proportions of which there is no return, yet you spurn that outreached hand of the living God that can save you from that tragic place of damnation and of no return.

You have made your choice.

Therefore why, may i ask, were you compelled to comment as you did, and to be a discouragement and/or a detriment to those who not only are encouraged by this Psalm, but in turn, encourage others?

i'm curious.

Why have you done this?

Thank you.

Re: Psalm 37
Beautiful, and yet there is two Psalms, and yet I do accept everything that this Psalms had been written with Wisodm and Righteousness.

For we all are Angels, but which Angel you say?, for there are Angels of Light and there Angels of Darkness.

For I am Angel of Light, Truth, Prophecy, Wisdom, Fortitude and Consul.

Within Prophecy there is Piety, and within Wisdom there is Understanding, and within Truth there is Knowledge, and within Fortitude there is Fearlessness, and within Conul there is Comfort, and within Light ...?

A Psalm of David, in commemoration of the Sabbath.

O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your wrath.

For your arrows have been driven into me, and your hand has been confirmed over me.

There is no health in my flesh before the face of your wrath. There is no peace for my bones before the face of my sins.

For my iniquities have walked over my head, and they have been like a heavy burden weighing upon me.

My sores have putrefied and been corrupted before the face of my foolishness.

I have become miserable, and I have been bent down, even to the end. I have walked with contrition all day long.

For my loins have been filled with illusions, and there is no health in my flesh.

I have been afflicted and greatly humbled. I bellowed from the groaning of my heart.

O Lord, all my desire is before you, and my groaning before you has not been hidden.

My heart has been disturbed. My strength has abandoned me, and the light of my eyes has abandoned me, and it is not with me.

My friends and my neighbors have drawn near and stood against me. And those who were next to me stood far apart. And those who sought my soul used violence.

And those who sought evil accusations against me were speaking emptiness. And they practiced deceitfulness all day long.

But, like someone deaf, I did not hear. And I was like someone mute, not opening his mouth.

And I became like a man who does not hear, and who has no reproofs in his mouth.

For in you, Lord, I have hoped. You will listen to me, O Lord my God.

For I said, “Lest at any time, my enemies might rejoice over me,” and, “While my feet are being shaken, they have spoken great things against me.”

For I have been prepared for scourges, and my sorrow is ever before me.

For I will announce my iniquity, and I will think about my sin.

But my enemies live, and they have been stronger than me. And those who have wrongfully hated me have been multiplied.

Those who render evil for good have dragged me down, because I followed goodness.

Do not forsake me, O Lord my God. Do not depart from me.

Be attentive to my help, O Lord, the God of my salvation. - Psalm 37:1-23

And what is Sabbath?:

TEN COMMITMENTS
You shall know that you have taken the path to God, and you shall know that you have found God, for there will be these signs, these indications, these changes in you:

1. You shall love God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul. And there shall be no other God set before Me. No longer will you worship human love, or success, money, or power, nor any symbol thereof. You will set aside these things as a child sets aside toys. Not because they are unworthy, but because you have outgrown them. And, you shall know you have taken the path to God because:

2. You shall not use the name of God in vain. Nor will you call upon Me for frivolous things. You will understand the power of words, and of thoughts, and you would not think of invoking the name of God in an unGodly manner. You shall not use My name in vain because you cannot. For My name—the Great “I Am”—is never used in vain (that is, without result), nor can it ever be. And when you have found God, you shall know this. And, I shall give you these other signs as well:

3. You shall remember to keep a day for Me, and you shall call it holy. This, so that you do not long stay in your illusion, but cause yourself to remember who and what you are. And then shall you soon call every day the Sabbath, and every moment holy.

No.

God's Word never returns to Him void. Don't be discouraged. Let's continue just letting His Word a'loose.....it WILL shine His Light, and it WILL accomplish what He intends that it do.

All we need do is "let it loose".

Bless you OP .

When my late husband died, leaving me alone with our infant to raise, I was suicidal with grief. Psalms got me through.

I kept a bible in every room of my apartment and one in my truck. Every single time I felt like I was drowning, I opened up psalms and it was my lifeboat.

Re: Psalm 37
you ever feel like posting scripture here is like throwing a bible in the gutter and hoping something good happens?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80458609

No.

God's Word never returns to Him void. Don't be discouraged. Let's continue just letting His Word a'loose.....it WILL shine His Light, and it WILL accomplish what He intends that it do.

All we need do is "let it loose".

"The Word of God is like a lion. You don't have to defend a lion. All you have to do is let the lion loose and the lion will defend itself." -Charles Spurgeon

your're post is inspiring..and i believe it to be true however, I am now convinced this place is a demon filled pool of filth...that no good can ever come from it and it only serves as a money making fear producing mental illness machine. I have yet to see anything else. I also believe they make Jesus and God threads just to keep certain people around. Demons can quote scripture..they do it all the time.

Re: Psalm 37
Psalm 37
1
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
2
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
3
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
5
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
6
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
7
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
8
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.
9
For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the Lord,
They shall inherit the earth.
10
For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
11
But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12
The wicked plots against the just,
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
13
The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees that his day is coming.
14
The wicked have drawn the sword
And have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy,
To slay those who are of upright conduct.
15
Their sword shall enter their own heart,
And their bows shall be broken.
16
A little that a righteous man has
Is better than the riches of many wicked.
17
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the Lord upholds the righteous.
18
The Lord knows the days of the upright,
And their inheritance shall be forever.
19
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time,
And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20
But the wicked shall perish;
24
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
25
I have been young, and now am old;
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread.
26
He is ever merciful, and lends;
And his descendants are blessed.
27
Depart from evil, and do good;
And dwell forevermore.
28
For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
29
The righteous shall inherit the land,
And dwell in it forever.
30
The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom,
And his tongue talks of justice.
31
The law of his God is in his heart;
None of his steps shall slide.
32
The wicked watches the righteous,
And seeks to slay him.
33
The Lord will not leave him in his hand,
Nor condemn him when he is judged.
34
Wait on the Lord,
And keep His way,
And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
35
I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.
36
Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.
37
Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
38
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39
But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
He is their strength in the time of trouble.
40
And the Lord shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
Because they trust in Him.
 Quoting: Agabus

This psalm is true and for now.
Just yesterday I read in the article about Barry the owl dying, the word forevermore. I looked up that word in Google translate, in strongs concordance, on q posts,in gematria...it stood out. Lo and behold, it's in this very psalm.

Also this psalm talks about evil spreading our like a tree, instantly thought of evergreen, the always young tree.

Still, I find solace and hope in Psalm 37. Thank you for posting.

 Quoting: Agabus

1: The 10 men in Re:17 and Da:7 are the Satan's favorite people, the 2/3 that die in Zec:13 are their followers.
2: The 7 vials (Re:16) kill all the people lust mentioned, the 7th trump in Re:11 is when that takes place.
3:Without reading ahead it would apply to the 12 Tribes in Israel and the Gentile Church in the Nations as they are the only ones alive for the 1,000 years.
4:The 1,000 years are used to educate the first one gathered to a level they survive the fire at the end of the 1,000 years. That allows God to appoint them as shepherds to the rest of Adan and Eve's children.
5:Re:11 starts off with repented Gentiles, these are sealed like the two witnesses, they will end up being the 1/3 from Zec:13 that survive the 7 vials because they have repented their sins.
6:Last 2 verses in Zec:13 and the first 3 in Zec:14.
7:That could be people the two witnesses convert, they die as believers so they are part of the Re:20:4 resurrected Gentiles. Killed for the word of God applies to the 12 Tribes because of the way a few verses in Eze:39 are written.
8:What the counted one in Re:11:1-2 do during the 42 months. That ends the day the two witnesses are killed but the Church is a long way from there during the time the two witnesses are in the grave.
9:Two witnesses resurrected, 7 vials kill all sinner, Re:20:4 resurrection. All completed by 6PM of the same day.
10:Satan is missing for the 1,000 years, when he is released he comes with a few billion fallen angels. The people know they are there as witnesses to their destruction. They are immortal by a few days when they witness that.

11:The 1,000-year-reign. They are the servants from Isa:65. The ones being punished are the ones killed by the 7 vials. In the new earth verses the servants are in New Jerusalem, the ones building homes outside the city are the ones that were being punished earlier in the passage.
12:The two witnesses are the remnant in the last few verses of Re:12. This is about the war against them. Da:7 has 1 man that is slightly more powerful than any other person.
13:That would apply to the 7 vials at the start of teh 1,000 years and the fire at the end. Combined, they are the wrath from Job:14 that will be passed before Job is woken up.
14:The 5th trumps starts a period of 42 months when fallen angels replicate what was going on in Ge:6.
15:Re:16 is the destruction of Satan's whole kingdom. It takes less than 4 hours from start to finish.
16:The 1/3 in Zec:14 are repented Gentiles, aka 'the Church'.
17:The 2/3 from those verses and all of Zec:14 as well as Re:16.
18: The living and the resurrected are take to the Eze:47 version of the tree of life.
19: The 1,000 years in hell. Punishment in Isa:65 and witnesses to Lucifer (Satan in chains) in Isa:14.

22: Zec:14 for the blessed and Re:20:5 for others.
23: Men starting with the 1,000 year and never ending. Isa:65 new earth verses.
24: Re:20:4 resurrection promise.
25: Reference to having a mortal body for 120 years and exchanging it for a glorified body at the start of the 1,000 years.
The rest are resurrected in the Great White Throne event. All of Hebrews:12 is about them, so is the 2nd group in Re:7. They are the ones building homes all across the universe in the Isa:65 verses.
26: Great White Throne even see the giants resurrected. They are the ones the seas give up. They can be saved as all of them had daughters of Eve as mothers.
27: Isa:65 new earth verses as the flock goes an=bout making the universe as full of life as Eden was.
28: New earth reference.
29: The flock has the universe as the new earth. When God was pointing to Orion in Job:38 He was pointing to Job's new home and two of his friends get the other stars for their home.
30: New earth and the wise flock. There shepherds will never leave new Jerusalem until they follow the angels top Mount Sion from Hebrews:12.

The last 10 are pretty easy.

Re: Psalm 37
Most people today don't even know a bible is something other than a weight.
If you can't build on some posted verse God is not really in your corner at the moment. Like in 7 of the 14 relationships in the 7 letters to all living Gentiles. All it shows it most people posting will be part of the Great White Throne group. The ones gathered first are never let out of God's sight during the whole time the universe is turned into a large version of Eden. Being a Shepherd means showing the flock a few things at the beginning and then waiting until they come and tell you about what they have been doing with God's help.
The 12 Tribes will be under the Re:21 set of laws and the only offering made will be Cain's aborted offering, so much for any of their previous training being of any benifit.
