The internet has royally fucked up women though - specifically young women. Guys are now competing against the entire planet to keep their gf/wife happy. Everything you do is now compared to unrealistic portrayals of how people present their lives on Instagram and Facebook, and most women only care about making their friends/family jealous. Life has turned into one big dick measuring contest.

People have lots of reasons for not wanting to date or get into another relationship.

Why I'm not keen on marriage again is because I discovered my ex-husband wanted me to be the best at everything and run the house while he went out hunting/fishing, worked out, and had girlfriends. If I didn't do something perfect, he would complain. After years of perfecting chef skills, being the consummate hostess, keeping a spotless house, effectively budgeting, shopping, parenting, yard/landscaping, home repair, plus taking night classes to earn upper degrees to make more $ for him to spend, he actually had the gall to tell me that he had affairs because I was too competent and made him feel unneeded.

So, I divorced him and he married one of his affairs. She can't cook, isn't overly tidy, her son is a drugged out mess married 3 times by 30, they've had money issues, and she is bossy. LOL! I hope he is blissfully happy with that.

But really, there are a lot of good people out there. Yet if you don't feel the need to have a relationship, just don't do it. There is no rule that says you have to be part of a couple.
