Philippines president orders police to make unvaccinated people stay inside

Rodrigo Duterte, known for his anti-life policies and making strong threats, described unvaccinated people as ‘walking spreaders’ of COVID-19, and declared that he would call the police to restrain unvaccinated people in their homes.

MANILA, Philippines, July 30, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte told those who have not received the COVID-19 injections, “don’t go out of your home,” warning that he will order the police to return people to their homes if they venture out.

Duterte made the comments during his weekly “Talk to the People” program Wednesday. Taking aim at the unvaccinated, Duterte described people who had not taken the injection as “walking spreaders” of COVID-19.

“Those who don’t want to get vaccinated, I’m telling you, don’t go out of your homes,” he declared.

“If you insist on going out, I will ask the police to bring you back home,” continued Duterte, adding that he would take full responsibility for the directive and its results. “If you want to sue me, go ahead. But that’s my order — I want you to be escorted back home. I will assume full responsibility for that.”

Duterte called on local law enforcement officials to enforce his televised directives, despite his proclamations not being supported by any laws. The police would have to “go around to see who [is] vaccinated and not,” he stated.

In a country where people make firearms with hand tools that are indistinguishable from from factory made guns, you would think there would be an uprising. Odds are nobody listens to this asshole anymore than people listen to our politicians so an uprising is pointless I guess.
