AF Veteran and her young daughter are homeless - unable to evict tenants who refused to pay rent for almost a year

I hate to say it, but as a teacher I have invested my own money to buy impoverished student clothes. One in particular I bought her a whole wardrobed of clothing. Only to find the parents had a garage sale and sold the brand new clothing I bought their kid. After that I bough the clothes and let her change before and after at school. So, good ridden's.

Other times I gave and got complaints that these impoverished people feel that they didn't get enough. Again, my own money and time.

Another time a parent was instructing their kid how to cry and act really hungry to beg for free food and claim that the restaurant screwed up their order. And, there was no negotiating with their parent. Even though I was nearby when I heard the parent telling the kid the plan and what she wanted them to do, before her tantrum started. Total grifters.

I thought one time I would even help someone one out to earn their own way. So bought a homeless guitar strings for their broken guitar they were walking around with. They swore they could play if only they had strings. Turns out they didn't even know how to play. But thought, if they had strings they could learn and be a street performer. I bet they even dug out the guitar from the trash. I saw that same person walking around a few month later, no guitar and no clue who I was, even through they thanked me profusely at the time as they tried to figure out how t string their guitar. Another bystander did it for them. That is when they started to admit that they were just a beginner.

I much rather help elderly and veterans who have actually been their and done that.

Turn off water...The one thing landlords control as far as utilities is the water and sewer bill...

The reason poor people are poor in the first place is because they are selfish and make lousy decisions...It rarely pays to help the poor...

I have some rentals.. and when the Gov't started encouraging tenants to not pay rent.. I stopped filling my vacancies..

Now they are only "Rent to Own Properties, requiring a substantial down payment".. and solid income. Sorry now welfare.

I would never be a landlord or ever rent from a landlord. I would live in a shack in the woods if that's all I could afford.
