If face masks are required in the workplace to stop the virus, then this logically leads to face masks being personal, protective, and mandatory equipment, hence PPE.

If PPE, then it must meet OSHA required standards, the most important being able to filter a ~1 micron size particle. A cloth mask will not do this, but a N95 or even better, a N99 mask will.

If everyone clamoring for more mask mandates had to wear real PPE that worked, N95 or N99 masks; then two things may happen. One, it might actually stop the inhalation of ~1 micron sized particle, and secondly people may get tired of wearing such a mask all day.

What this boils down to is a form of class warfare of the vaxxed office professional clamoring for the blue collar workers to wear a mask as a form of control. If the office professional had to wear real PPE all day long, this mentality would collapse.
