Okay, I called out the one in the foreground for being just another subducted lava flow sidewall, and was right...but yeah, that shit in the background, that IS a new vent for certain.

Again though, this is a good thing considering the absolute at the end of the day. The more vents that open the more heat, gas and steam this angry girl spits out vertically.

That means she's not moving steam pressure laterally into the fault, which mean just as much less of a possibility that she splits her sides and causes what we all fear may happen.

In layman's terms. less of a chance for the mega-tsunami.

Mega tsunami doom is highly unlikely (unless TPTB decide to intervene and make it happen).

Biggest concern right now is air quality, and whether or not the current reports of it are accurate to how bad it really is.

This would be the PERFECT COVER for a FF event and none of us would be the wiser...

Sure, there's a request to keep frequencies clear. But there's not going to be any traffic on them, not from La Palma.

One of those frequencies requested is used by the International Maritime Net, which does actually help stranded boats/sailors now and then.

Kinda makes me, as a ham radio operator, go "whut?"
