Time to say goodbye for volcano-thank you for all support :) [link to www.ancient-origins.net (secure)] ^ Someone posted this link yesterday (no idea who, I have a really hard time keeping track of who is who with the speed at which this thread moves) Just expressing my gratitude. I had a dream about a place that looked exactly like that. I can’t remember any details (this was years ago) but it made me happy to “go back” there by seeing it and knowing about it. Something about it triggers an irrational, unexplainable sense of pleasantness. Strange reaction, but true. There are some sights and places that just make me momentarily feel a connection to the woven fabric of time and space. Pray For Ohio |

There is no amount of science or sorcery that can determine with any amount of reasonable certainty that this will or will not happen. Will you find solace in your assertions if it does, in fact, happen, and you led people back to bed on a personal whim? You puzzle me. Puzzle is a nice way to put it, more like completely irresponsible and utter bullshit that could get people killed. Infuriating is better, at least imo. Well, hopefully most people realize that those who stomp around claiming that their angels speak louder than the angels of others is not a wise person to follow. I'm not quite sure what makes you the end all be all top professional mind on this, but I am quite sure you're not a geologist or volcanologist. I think I'll stick with educated and knowledgeable souls who believe there's a very high chance that it could, and I'll inform my loved ones in danger zones of the same. Pretty irresponsible statement. Because I have celestial contact.. which many here do not accept and and my contacts do know more than the average shits that publish around the net... OK. They have the best of geologists and all that. They also have technologies that can abate or modify some of this stuff.. So fuck off to you too.. I am in that sort of mood this morning.. OK. You're poking the wrong grizzly bear, but for the sake of this thread I'ma let it go. The six won’t cause the boom. The boom caused the six. Or the chunk is already slipping underneath so it produces earthquakes. |

Quoting: No one at all Has activity been increasing or is this normal? Increasing, but very slightly. I have been watching. It follows no apparent pattern. No clear form of connection can be observationally derived either. Some days one island shakes, some days another. I was originally looking because the three western most islands almost made me wonder if they could be part of one magma chamber, but that theory quickly went to the crapper. The entire Spanish peninsula is incredibly seismically active, and it appears to reach out west to a fault fracture in the Atlantic Ocean. Although I lost the fantastic link that showed all of this information way back around 340, I think. Now, is this region fairly active, yes. Does it seem to be increasing in activity, yes. Is it normal? I went back through 10+ years and it SEEMS to be more active. But ten years is a joke for a planet. So I don't know it that helps. Ten years took me a couple hours, using a random sampling. I never saw signs of genuine earthquakes in the past, if I remember correctly. It is late and I am tired here. There are probably some 1.0's on the graph for the last couple days. The big question is this: Are they noise being picked up from Palma, or is it separate noises? I have to believe they are separate. Although its just a cursory inspection at this time. Empty Men offer Empty Words and Empty Hearts. |

Although its just a cursory inspection at this time. fyi, :) :: "The first seismic station of the National Geographic Institute in the Canary Islands was installed in 1952 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and in 1975 its number was increased with another two in El Hierro and La Palma. From that moment on, the first location with exclusively instrumental data was produced, giving rise to what is known as the instrumental era. However, in those years, the number of total stations was too low to be able to detect earthquakes of magnitude less than 3 throughout the archipelago and for the locations to be reliable. Although two new stations were installed in 1990, making a total of five, it was not until 2002-2003 that five new stations were installed and we can say that the seismic network in the Canary Islands, with a number between 10 and 15 stations, is acceptable for monitoring seismicity. At present, the seismic network of the Canary Islands of the National Geographic Institute is made up of more than 50 stations that transmit data in real time to an automatic analysis and location system."
