Old Testament Man of God: Job.
It is written that God placed a "hedge of protection" around Job, his family, and his household.

Do you think that God does the same with us?

Has anyone experienced this?

Re: Old Testament Man of God: Job.
Along those same lines, has anyone witnessed/experienced a miracle and knew it was God Himself Who performed it?

It shouldn't seem like a miracle as prayers are answered, but it does.
Miraculous everytime.
Everyday. How, when, where, who, and sometimes why is always a surprise, unexpected, and this is a miracle to me.
No one can explain it or explain it away.
They always seem like glitches.
Even the ordinary is extraordinarily out of the ordinary.
Nary has ordinary been sensed.
Vitality and thriving should be ordinary, and the ordered chaos of miracles precisely coexisting every participle with all other miracles together, and layered between all past and future miracles...it's a miracle there is space at all.

And then the rug pulled out from underneath and Job's family killed anyways. Syke.

Stuff happens. To all of us.

God DOES pull the rug out from us at times.

Speaking of Job, why did that happen with Job?

Yes.

I experienced a dream like this....

There was about 5 very tall angles, 300 foot, light blue
and they were walking slowly through the valley of my city.
Completely neutral, indifferent faces on each of them.

All around them the city was burning, and it was them who
were ordained by God to do the burning...

Some people were getting sprayed with flame accelerate, some
with flame retardant -- which sort of looked like or striked
me as the blood of Christ. And in that dream I felt the
angels put a protection over me from the coming 'fire' that
would ravage my town.

Re: Old Testament Man of God: Job.
I've known for a long time that God has protected me. When I was younger, I drank to the point of passing out and drove with no regard for my safety or anyone else's. I experimented with dangerous drugs and lived other dangerous ways that constantly tempted fate. Now looking back, it can only be divine intervention that saved me.

I shudder to think what price might be required to even the debt

Reminds me of the prophet Elijah (or was it Elisha?) when he showed his assistant via God's answer to his prayer, all of the throngs of warrior angels on the hill, there to fight on their behalf.

That would be the equivalent to a "wall of protection", wouldn't it?

i'm sorry about your town, however thank God He protected you from it.

Thank you for sharing this. it's encouraging to hear how God can alter events that surely would've done us in, yet we miraculously survive.

Because the Devil said to God that Job is only a good boy because things are going well for him.

God goes nuh-uh. Devil goes yeah-uh, wanna make a bet?

God was like yeah ok fool.. same bet as always..$1?

And the devil was like yer ok you're on!

Then for Job shit got very real.

Re: Old Testament Man of God: Job.
God saved my life several times.
most noteworthy to me was the bikecrash. 130mph we got sideswiped by a car, bike didn't flip, didn't fall, just shifted to the side.
where my knee had hit the car,the left door was dented like a deer hit it, my knee was fine, not even a bruise.

Job was remarkable,in how he stood fast, strong, and overcame it.he carried his burden without leaving the burden to someone else.
