BREAKING: Brooklyn Nets ban Kyrie Irving from team until he's fully vaccinated

Kyrie Irving will NOT be allowed to play or practice for the Nets until his COVID vaccine situation is resolved, the team announced Tuesday.

Brooklyn general manager Sean Marks said in a statement that unless Irving gets vaccinated or the NBA provides him an exemption ... the star point guard will be barred from the team.

"Given the evolving nature of the situation and after thorough deliberation, we have decided Kyrie Irving will not play or practice with the team until he is eligible to be a full participant," Marks said.

Irving has not commented publicly on his choice to avoid the vaccine -- he told his followers on social media last month that was a "private" matter -- but he's made it clear through social media activity that he is, in fact, anti-vax.

Wow - what a dystopian world we now live in. BLM should be all over this, but sadly they are not. Not at all an NBA fan, but my heart goes out to Kyrie Irving. Imagine your private health choices being displayed on headlines for everyone to judge. There's a special place in hell for people like Sean Marks!

I actually wouldn't be surprised if #BLM gets involved. They damn near burned down an NYC restaurant because it denied service to unvaxxed people who responded by assaulting the hostess.

I can't stand that bunch of racist commies, but credit where credit is due. They don't like the shots and aren't afraid to make a lot of noise and trouble over it.

Agree with you and typically can't stand BLM either! However, this is one time I could totally get behind them if they start protesting these vax mandates. I recall the NYC restaurant incident, but, they didn't expand their protests or continue. Perhaps they were paid off to sit down.

I don't think he will back down. He's been pretty passionate about his convictions in the past. He's not the type that backs down easily. Maybe they will strike some type of deal that he takes a placebo, but I doubt it. Kyrie seems to be an unbreakable specimen, and I respect him for that.

He should retire. To send a Strong Message you have to be willing to walk away from it all.
