On Sept 13 it was reported that "A sinister gang within the security bureau, made an attempt on President Xi's life".

The report said that

"Luo Wengin" SPelling? Head of the criminal police brigade
of the Public Security Bureau, of Jiangsu Province. (Province is the North side of Shanghai).

According to the report, Luo Wengin made the attempt at a Nanjing commemorative function.

Apologies for the couple of older news reports of prior assassination attempts. I had no idea the earlier attempts were made. Western news keeps us in the dark and feeds us mushroom food.

I made the comment the other day that if China decides to actually attack Taiwan, all the troops, having bomb laden military jets for perhaps the first time, might simply turn left and blow up Beijing.
