A totally irresponsible tweet--and not by accident. It is meant to cause fear and panic at a time they have destroyed the supply chain, because their Covid lies are being exposed.

But, GLPers you need to know this: There are so many deflationary forces that the US does not face hyperinflation--which is very different from high inflation of 8-15% that the US is currently experiencing. The only way it would come is if the Fed violates the Federal Reserve act and bypasses Congress to make their debts legal tender.

The Fed has violated the Federal Reserve Act recently, when they created Special Purpose Vehicles to buy junk bonds and keep the corporate bond market from crashing. No one batted an eye when they did this. But, it was patently illegal and a big step. It appears there has also been a coup within the Fed to get a few of the conservative-leaning members to resign.

So while they are working to set the stage for MMT, we will not see hyperinflation until they're able to directly send money to people without the need for Congress to pass spending bills.

Remember, watch what they do, not what they say.

I am trying, but DH is in a bit of denial. We have a refrigerator that is over 25 years old. It works but won't last forever. I keep saying we need to buy a new one, put it in the garage as a secondary frig and move it into the house if our old one breaks. .they say getting appliances will be harder and harder to get and be expensive. . Food wise, we are probably OK for awhile, but we are on city water which doesn't make me comfortable.
