The odd E.European nation may have dragged their heels somewhat on the dictates and mandates handed down- but eventually all will comply...or risk the certain consequences.

There is a whole law of freedom of movement/to travel, it is not and never had been an absolute right.

Countries have borders, they can kick you out, not let you in. This has long been so, now COVID adds a layer of rules to it all.

The right of interstate travel in the U.S. is a constitutional right. We are citizens of the UNITED states, and have to right to freely travel between the states. There might be consequences to doing so (ex. In Chicago I have to quarantine for 7 to 10 days if I leave Chicago right now due to the travel advisory). But I can go. And I personally, absent martial law, don't see that right being abridged.

I am a traveler too, and I wonder if I will ever go abroad again in my life. It's my dream to retire and travel, and that was the only thing keeping me going working to retirement is the awesome adventures I was going to have, now I can't see it. So I hear you.

If you're counting on those politicians labelled "right-wing, conservative, or republican, etc." to save us, well, sadly I think you are delusional. They might let off the gas pedal slightly, but the road and direction will remain constant. They have proven their willingness to succumb to the real overlords numerous times in the past and present, and will do so again in the future, unfortunately.

An Elementary teacher did a study on this once. She told everyone with blue eyes that they were bad and stupid and everyone with brown eyes they were smart and better. The brown eyed students started to torment, tease, and claim they were better than the blue eyed people.....this went on for a few weeks with the blue eyed kids being exiled to themselves by the brown eyed kids while on the playground...then the teacher told the brown eyed students she was wrong..that the blue eyed people were actually the smartest and best....the most interesting thing I remember about that entire thing was that once the blue eyed students had endured the torture from the brown eyed people, once they were released as the smartest and best they were absolutely brutal against the brown eyed kids because of what they had done....they had absolutely no mercy for them.
