You know how easy it is to eat junk food as a vegan/vegetarian? Soy and tofu for instance are estrogenic and some people will gain weight on it. Oh, and , bakery stuff is also vegetarian lol... great for the line! It's the biggest scam... they want us to be vegan and vegetarians... Cheaper to feed us, brain not working as good/ clear, and so easier to fool. Was a longterm vegetarian, then a longterm vegan... Go and talk to some ex vegans LOL! SO many side effect and ... the brain is starving on a veg/vegan diet. Trust me, I was there. How come so many kids growing up as vegans have learning difficulties? |

Likely it's the glyphosate they spray on the soy, wheat, rice, or oats before harvest. It could be all the soy. If you end up with leaky gut (irritated spots in the intestines that are gaps due to the poisoning of your normal flora by the glyphosate), you absorb way more calories than you should. Also there is an autoimmune response if it gets bad enough, and that causes you to puff up. |

It should be a couple eggs/proteins in the morning, a piece of fruit snack mid morning, a vegetable/ snack at lunch, and a small well rounded dinner before 6pm and another snack cheese or crackers be an hour or two before you go to bed. Your snacks should never be any bigger than the surface area of the inside of the palm of your hand. New homes and kitchens in the USA are way too big. The U shaped one step kitchen of the late 60's were probably the right size for daily living and eating healthy. You simply made your food quickly and got out of kitchen. You did not hang out in the kitchen, like you live on a farm, with extended family and friends visiting all the time. You didn't store a bunch of food or buy in bulk. But, rather went to the grocery store about every other day and bought fresh fruits and veggies frequently. It was not a hang out spot, with walk in pantries to spend your time staring at. There was no entertainment source either. The kitchen was it's own room hidden off the main living area. That means you made dinner and than left the kitchen to sit down and look at the rest of your family and have a conversation while you ate. No one started eating until the cook was finished serving. Then you said a little prayer about something positive in your day in the evening and that lead to happiness and feeling full and content. Now people come home, hang out in the common room connected to the main living area and dining. start to snack before dinner is even make, complain about their day the whole time, serve themselves/ grab a plate and head off to whatever part of the house they want to be entertained in while they eat. Not healthy. Leads to unhappiness and over eating. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69055897 Maybe Americans are just fat fux. People over eat, because they tend to replace relationships with entertainment. When you are being entertained you tend to eat more because you are not paying attention to others or engaged in a conversation. You are not thinking and usually in a hypnotic state. Thus your brain never seems to get the message that you are full enough. Sort of like you are in the wilderness by yourself and you need to survive so you are in a meditative state on how to get your needs met, being the last survivor of your tribe. Then people eat until they are uncomfortable. And, often times after the sun goes down and it is time for bed. Which means now gut is working a good part of the time when it should be resting. Thus people wake up tired and not motivated to diet. Because they are tired, they prefer carbs to get a sugar hit, only the hit the lunch time lol. Then they go home and repeat the bad habits all over again. I like a big kitchen. It's nice to have lots of room for all your gadgets and kitchen clutter and so forth. But thinking about it. we probably would do better, to stay fit if we kept to simple fresh meals, we bought almost nearly daily, that we all shared together, rather than making constant individual accommodation for meals, from instant packages of crap. |
