I can't remember whether it was 71k or 121k pages of information filed with the initial prosecutions but in either case, here's how this is going to work.

1. The defense teams will file unending continuances in order to "gain a full understanding of the evidence and develop a strategy".

This stage may last as much as 5 years basically before pretrial is over.

The trials themselves could take a couple more years.

Then enough continuances to basically keep people out of jail for long enough for them to die of old age or for this to run out the clock any number of other ways.

This is what it looks like when the Doj has to APPEAR to be doing something but doesn't actually want anything done.

I left out multiple steps too, several of which could add years each.

You know what the best part of all this is too?

YOU AND ME we'll pay for this entire shitshow circus to the tune of a hundred plus million dollars which this prosecution will easily cross the threshold of.

But it does look the cases are built on the surrounding players, indict, then arrest. When they realize they will be brought before military tribunal, the caged birds will sing.
