Still Game On as far as I can see and that will remain the case unless everyone has their free-will removed or agrees to be enslaved everything is still "live".

The Players control the governments of the world. Humans kicked the Gods out long ago, but then they welcomed them back by allowing anyone to rule over them, which makes them a God and a Player.

So humans booted the old gods out and some of them set themselves up as The New Gods, to the detriment of the majority of human beings.

The 'gods' have been overthrown by the humans they enslaved realizing the 'gods' never had any control over them.

This was always going to happen. We don't need babysitters who think they know what's best for us anymore.
