I witnessed something darn near impossible today. It’s not a big deal at all but still it was crazy.

I witnessed something darn near impossible today. It’s not a big deal at all but still it was crazy.
I was shopping at the grocery store. I went to walk to another aisle and some people walked by my right with their carts and this lady on my left with a cart . So I kind of just stopped to be patient. And the lady in front of me had a glass bottle of wine in her hands . And she kinda tripped. And the bottle went up, maybe at highest point 6.5 feet.

The bottle hits the ground not from the bottom of bottle but the side. bounces twice, and rests. She picked it up and was amazed. As was I. This was a glass bottle. And it didn’t shatter.

Have you ever seen this happen before ?

i've seen bottles bounce before on the right surfaces. but not bounce and land upright.

i think it's because the bottle is still full it provided a bit of cushion effect.

I dropped a stadium lightbulb from 30 ft once onto concrete.it bounced.it landed on the direct top of bulb.i then threw it onto side and it shattered.

Some wine bottles are harder and more resilient than others.

Very lucky to not break though..especially landing the way it did from such a tall height.

I'm always jealous of states that sell wine in grocery stores.

Where I live, you can only get wine at liquor stores.

Not a bottle but one of those bottle vases that I had on my fireplace mantle.It was like three years ago before Christmas and my cat decided to put his paws on the fabric mantle topper and guess what? Everything came down and broke into pieces and the cat disappeared for a few hours but the only thing that didn't break was that vase, it just landed upright and not a chip or scratch on it.
