This is basically what has just happened. The letter is a DRAFT PROPOSAL ONLY, written by Putin and presented by Russia's Foreign Ministry on Friday. It IMAGINES the NATO alliance agreeing to these demands. Like, if you wrote a letter to your neighbour saying "My neighbour will give me ten million dollars" and then posting it online to show the world, even though they have no intention whatsoever of giving you ten million dollars. If I was the neighbour, I'd be fecking FURIOUS. NATO is not going to like what Russia has done here, let me tell you. |
