You would think a store that sells pumps and their equipment would be a thing where people have wells, but there are none! Non-GMO Being |

Maybe some kind of electrical surge from under ground? Traveled through the water u dear ground and burned up the pumps? Strange she’s not the only one with a well problem all of a sudden. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79682927 01/03/2022 03:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So sorry you have this issue op. Mine went out a few years ago and started replacing a few things here and three before we realized we had to replace the entire damn pump! It had lasted over 20 years, now with the new one we probably will have a couple more years before we have to replace this cheap crap made today. If it ain’t one thing it’s something else. Sending prayers cause this is not a good time for financial crap. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79710200 Yep.. check the well pump controllers capacitor? Is it bulging? Some have a seal at the top that will blow out.. is yours blown? Usually this is a $5-15 repair.. I loose mine from extreme cold nearly every other year |

User ID: 73960110 United States 01/03/2022 03:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well we found a capacitor from a local company. Switched it out and it still doesn’t work! So now we have to figure out what to do next. Quoting: Non-GMO Being 1 Still hums when plugged in. Thank you all for the suggestions and help! I assume that the humming is coming from the controller and not the pump itself? That the pump is a submersible down in the well? That would suggest you have power and its trying to turn the pump.. if nothing is coming up the well is dry...OR the pump is burned up/stalled/ choked with debris.. You can send a bobber on a string down perhaps to test the water depth, but you will probably have to haul that pump up.. trying to pump it when dry will burn out most pump designs... . |

Sounds more like the check valve / foot valve like I said earlier. It's lost its prime. "Never underestimate the pain of a person. In all honesty, everyone is struggling. Just some people are better at hiding it than others." Everyone has to work out their own salvation. Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards. |
