I've always opposed it, it makes it colloquial, an accepted part of the culture.`
Like "Social Security". No one says Social Security, they say Soshekyerty. And in the last ten or fifteen years now it's just "social".

And the uniformity with which the smart MSM people adopted it deserves consideration. "Jab" isn't cute, so imitation because of irresistible cuteness doesn't explain it. It smacks of being the term that the playbook recommends/requires.
