It's does look more and more likely it was Covid.

The poor man had asthma as well which is never good if you catch a respiratory illness.

This song is masterpiece even with the artist's corny sense of humor which displays another kind of mastery the man was known for. But composition wise, few popular songs were as ambitious and intricate. Truly a great entertainer who will be missed. Rest in peace.

Aww, good old Marvin Lee. My mom was married to his cousin, and I met him as Marvin Lee in 1980 at a funeral in Malakoff, Texas.

He was a very kind man. I was only 15 and had no idea I was actually speaking to Meat Loaf. No one in the family treated him like he was anything other than a regular guy.

I never saw him again, my Mom and that stepdad divorced.

I figured out that Marvin Lee was Meat Loaf in my 40's, I was reading about him and nearly fell out of my chair when I realized the mild-mannered man who sang at the funeral and was so sweet was a rock legend.

Damn…I grew up with his music. Sads.

People loved him and tolerated his loss of voice as he naturally aged. Singing C sharp doesn't make a long career. It wasn't about his voice as he got older. It was about his ever-enduring presence. Please play his best and remember him for that.
