The SATA cable plugs into the old hard drive and has a USB plug for connecting to the new PC to transfer the data. Always keep the old hard drives. I have a USB 3.0 to SATA III Hard Drive Adapter made by Ugreen. It is a wonderful device. Years ago, my laptop died and the computer place wanted $200 to transfer my data. The SATA cable cost $10. |
