Assure her there IS no death but of the meatsuit, and there is no separation!

Communication is different after death, but works as you would keep them in your heart, and carry them along with you.

Have her remember and play music she loves in this time, listen well to her music and what it means.

I said no incubation and no reviving after heart stops. Did I do right? I want no suffering for her.

yes ! you did the right thing - not to prolong any suffering and to let her go with dignity at the time she chooses ... bless you - may someone be as kind to you when it is your turn

I’m so sorry you are experiencing this :(

My prayers go out to you and your mom and your loved ones

Try to stay encouraged. I know that’s so hard . Especially in this moment. But the enemy wants you to give up hope. He wants you to feel helpless. Show your mom love talk to her and hold her hand. And know you are loved .
I will dwell in you. And you in me. And I will walk with my people .

It's really hard to make that decision, but her future would just be more of the same if they revived her. She's lived her life, let her go. Life's short. It won't be long until you can see her again.
I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you.

Prayers for you and yours. Plus, yes you did right. My mother has told me multiple times she wants the same, and that it’s the right thing, not prolonging suffering.

While not knowing you or the situation I can say this with confidence.

Listen to that little voice in you. If it's telling you to DNR her and let her pain stop, then you did right.

You're her daughter. You love her more than anyone in this world.

Whatever you choose is the right answer because you know deep down the answer to this already.

Much Love and.God Bless you and your Mother. The thoughts of this stranger are with you.

If it's mucus filling the lungs, intubation per-se could make sense if it's combined with another treatment that might overcome the problem. Intubation to suck out the gunk, not ventilation to push air in -- again unless there's a reason to think it's very temporary.

If the heart is stopping, why? If it's something that will just get worse, or if there is brain damage, sure I'd say it's time to pass on.

Don't know enough from your post to know if I'd make the same decisions. But usually when such cases are explained they make good sense to me.

Be at peace with your decision.

I had the opportunity to die briefly in 2013. Had a NDE and I can tell you that the other side of physical life is awesome.

There is no end to what we truly are, just a new beginning (again) after physical death of the human body.

I am very sorry you and your mom have been going through this. I hope and pray that suffering is as little as possible for both of you, and peace is present as soon as possible for both of you, no matter what happens.

So true. I will always remember when I started working as a new nurse. I worked on a "heart" floor where we monitored everyone and cared for them after cardiac caths and PCTA's and the like.

I was assigned an elderly man and went to go assess him at the beginning of my shift. We had introductions and I started talking with him and it was clear he was upset. I asked him what was wrong and what could I do to help him. He fired back tearfully and angrily stating "they should have let me die!!" He went on to lament "I died! Why did they bring me back? I was dead, now I have to suffer until next time!" I felt so bad for him. That night we talked about no rescusitation and no CPR measures and had it placed in his chart. I learned alot that night.

It is ok to let people go, sometimes it is more humane to let the person move on. People need to get their affairs in order so that their wishes are perfectly clear and respected at the end of their journey here.

Her love has shaped you as compassionate and wise; be brave and strong she has prepared you for this time in your and her lives. One day you will be in her age and will see how you have shaped your daughter or son into a life of compassion. The two of you have made this world a better place.
