Russia will NOT invade Ukraine period. The RF may come to a defense of Donbass region when under Ukrainian attack, but to invade - NO way.

Ukraine has no real economy, completely corrupt, the default is near, 10 million starving, 10 millions government employees [a lot more than here in the USA with fraction of population], most factories built by our fathers and grandfathers were sold for metal by the evil and corrupt. The RF is fuelling the Russian separatists and undercover Russian troops in Donbass region with weapons and ammo since many years ago and Ukraine will take this industrial region back. So Russia will start a war.

But its not Russia who reignited this conflict. There was peace for last four years during Trump reign. Its the Democrats who enabled Ukrainians to provocate.

This conflict started to renew somewhere around autumn 2021 when Ukrainians sent half of its army, 125.000 troops to Donbass.

In 2008, Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Georgia during the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. Approximately 40,000 soldiers and 1,200 armored vehicles entered into Georgia’s semi-autonomous region of South Ossetia before stopping about 35 miles short of Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital.

In 2014, when Russian invaded Crimea, Putin had a large troop formation along Ukraine’s border. But instead of invading there, Putin used hybrid warfare to seize Crimea, a peninsula that juts into the Black Sea and housed a Russian naval base.
Ukraine failed to provide a military response. But when Russia actively supported separatists in the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk – collectively known as the Donbass – Ukraine fought back. Even though Ukraine’s military was in a “decrepit” state, hollowed out by decades of corruption, it was able to push the Russian-backed separatists to the border with the help of volunteers.
In response, Russia increased its support, sending small military formations to assist the separatists.

As it is now, justification for an invasion would be extremely difficult for Putin. That doesn’t mean he won’t invade anyway.

Russia may enter the war, but not "start the war". If Zelensky government [that I do NOT support] will send the armies to take that region - it will be on Zelensky. If Rinat Akhmetov wants his Donbass property back - he can fight the war himself.

But(?!) Russia never invaded Georgia. In 2008 they went in to help Abkhazians and Ossetians who were being slaughtered by Georgian bombardment, not to mention 20 dead Russian peacekeepers who got flooded by Georgian artillery.

Once Russian army secured the population and the attacker were neutralized they split and went back home, just as in Kazakhstan recently. Russian peacekeepers are already out of Kazakhstan btw..
